After working in the haulage industry for 23 years, a medical condition meant that Andrew could no longer continue his career. In need of a personal challenge, he enrolled at his local college to study for a Foundation Degree in History, Heritage and Archaeology.
This unique course appealed to me because it covered subjects I've always been interested in. I was nervous about going back to education - I finished school in 1979! It's really a great course and I'm so pleased I took the plunge. I achieved a First in my Foundation Degree and I've acquired added focus and skills. I'm delighted that I can study a further year to gain a full degree and I will be exploring career options in the heritage and culture sectors.
